Officially opened for fishing in 2022, the fishery spans an acre in size, featuring 10 swims, 6 of which are bark-chipped and ideal for night fishing with even the largest of bivvies. Only a maximum of 5 anglers are permitted at any given time, each allowed to use 2 rods. The average depth is 6ft, with the deepest area reaching 12ft.

Proven tactics include solid bag fishing and surface fishing in the warmer months. Anglers typically use boilies and pellets, although yellow hook baits such as sweetcorn or yellow pop-ups also yield results. Maize can be effective, especially if a lot of sweetcorn has been used previously.

According to the fishery management team, fish react to the wind, so anglers should position themselves accordingly, with preference given to the back of a cold wind or the front of a warm wind. Fish tend to congregate between the islands, making them prime spots for casting.

During warmer months, the pool may become weedy, but anglers should not overlook these areas, as fish are often drawn to them.
